Aquatics Program Highlights
Face-Up First (First Session: January 11th – March 1st)
These 10-minute classes utilize the proven Face-Up First Method and S.W.I.M model. The Face-Up First Method is one of the safest and most efficient ways to learn how to swim. These classes offer a small teacher to student ratio (1 instructor per 1 student). Classes are designed to effectively balance work, rest and play to provide an effective and enjoyable experience for each student.
Flexible scheduling and no level requirements make Face Up First an attractive alternative to group swim lessons.
- Lessons may be purchased in consecutive blocks of 10 minutes. For example, if someone would prefer a 20-minute lesson, then two, 10-minute consecutive blocks of time would be scheduled and purchased.
- One of the key advantages of Face Up First lessons is the fact that Face Up First does not utilize skill requirements for class placement. For example, a parent with three children at different skill levels could purchase three, consecutive 10-minute blocks of time. The certified Face Up First instructor would teach all three children during the 30-minute block of time, meeting the swimming needs of each student individually during the same time period.
Face-Up First lessons offer a convenient, no level approach, so friends and siblings can participate in the same swim lesson regardless of age or skill level.
Length, Scheduling and Cost of Class
Face Up First lessons are purchased in packages of 8 lessons. Lessons are 10 minutes in length and run for eight consecutive weeks. For example, if Ms. Jones signed her daughter Tina up for lessons at 10:00 am on Tuesday, every Tuesday for eight weeks, Tina would enjoy her swim lesson at 10:00 am. The package cost for non-members is $160.00. The package cost for members is $120.00.
Kroc Swim Lessons
From beginners to experienced swimmers, The Kroc Center provides lessons for every skill level. Our Certified American Red Cross Instructors make lessons fun and help students to develop both swimming skills and self-confidence. Swim lesson students are moved through five progressive levels of swim lessons as they accomplish new skills and abilities. At the end of a lesson, your instructor will recommend the appropriate class level for the next set of classes. To evaluate your child’s swim ability, please contact the Kroc Center Aquatics Department at 402-905-3592 for help in choosing a class level.
Kroc Swim Team (January 3rd – May 26th)

Kroc’s Swim Team is designed to be a fun, low pressure introduction to competitive swimming. Along with the practice schedule, participants will be invited to participate in swim meets throughout the season. Swim meet dates and locations are to be determined. Swim Lessons for All Ages
The Kroc Center is proud to offer the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program. This progressive lesson program helps children learn the fundamentals of swimming and water safety through the teaching and assessment of critical water skills. Depending on a child’s abilities, they may remain at the same Learn-to-Swim level for more than one session.
Parent & Child Swim Lessons (Ages 6 Months – 3 Years)
Splish splash fun! A great way to spend time together, this class encourages participation from both the parent and child. Key elements of the class include water adjustment, exploration and skills through lively songs, nursery rhymes and games.
Preschool Swim Lessons (Ages 2 – 5 Years)
Jump into fun! This class emphasizes water adjustment, exploration and skills through teaching activities, drills and games. Only the child participant is allowed in the water during class time (sorry, no parents or guardians). Children who are not potty trained must wear a swim diaper to class.
