Joan Kroc dreamed of a place where people could explore, learn, and find ways to enrich their lives -- including visual and performing arts. At the Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, we offer a variety of Creative Arts classes to help you learn new skills and discover new ways to explore your creativity.
Creative Arts activities are designed for all ages, and our professional staff is here to help you discover your unique talents and gifts.
- Classes in drama, music, and various styles of dance for all ages are offered throughout the year.
- Visual arts classes include pottery, drawing, acrylic painting, watercolor, collage, china painting and jewelry making.
- All of our instructors are experienced professionals in their respective fields.
- Our Education Center includes 8 classrooms and features a Dance Studio, Art Room, and Pottery Studio.
- Our Assembly Hall offers flexible performance space and seats up to 525.

Open Art Studio
Drop-in Activity - no registration required!
Member: FREE, Non-member: included with entry
(Daily entry fee $5/youth, $7/adult)
Explore your creative side! Our Art Room is open for you to spend time learning and practicing your artistic skills. Open Studio is not a structured class, but an opportunity to work independently on art projects of your choice. Staff will be on hand to offer advice or assistance. Some materials are available for your use, or you can bring your own! Open to individuals 8 and older.

Explore the exciting world of pottery making! Learn hand-building techniques such as pinch pots, coil, and slab building, then advance at your pace to wheel throwing. Participants will be able to build, fire, glaze, and finish several projects during the four week class.

Private piano lessons are available for beginners or students that need a refresher course. Lessons are scheduled one time per week in half hour increments and are offered on afternoons and evenings on Mondays and Wednesdays and Saturday mornings.
