Joan Kroc envisioned a place where individuals of all ages would have an opportunity to explore their unique gifts and talents. She also envisioned a place where a health and fitness played a significant role in the lives of youth, adults and seniors.

The staff at The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center is working hard to cultivate and organize programs which will illuminate a healthier and more fit lifestyle. Our goal is to insure you, our member, has the necessary resources to make sound, positive and healthy choices in your everyday life. We'll also work hard to provide you with up-to-date information on positive, enriching fitness practices which will help you achieve your specific fitness goals.

Healthy Home Project #3109

Does your family find it hard to eat right and stay active? Would you like to bring your family together and create healthy habits? The new Healthy Home Project at the Kroc Center is for you!

Offered exclusively by the Kroc Center, the Healthy Home Project is a fun, family approach to increased movement and better nutrition. And, it’s for everyone whether you have younger or older children or are a one or two parent family. It’s also for families with significant health challenges and those who simply want to get on a healthier path.

The Healthy Home Project is a 12-week series of classes and activities that will include:
  • Personalized Family Goal Setting
  • Family Cooking Classes
  • Fun Guest Speakers
  • Family Fitness Activities
  • Incentive and Effort Awards
During the Healthy Home Project, you and your family will:
  • Bring back quality family time with fun ideas to beat the battle of the bulge
  • See how to take control of portion sizes
  • Learn about healthy food options including friendlier fast food
  • Change unhealthy family routines
  • Pick up tips on picky eaters or dietary needs

Weights For Women #3079
May 5 - June 2 (No class on Mother's Day, 5/12)
Sundays, 1:15 - 2:15pm
Ages 16+
Member: $25, Non-member: $35 

Women at any age can learn how to safety and effectively use weight lifting to improve muscle tone, weight loss and bone health. During this 4-week progressive class, an experienced instructor will teach you how to use free weights with proper form, work all major muscle groups and familiarize yourself with weight room etiquette. Maximum class size of eight individuals.
