American Red Cross Swim Lessons

Swimming is a skill that not only keeps people active and healthy, but can also save a life! Drowning is the second leading cause of injury-related deaths for children under 14 and adults who cannot swim are at a greater risk, too. The best thing you can do to stay safe in and around the water is to learn to swim.

At the Kroc Center, learning and fun go hand in hand. Our swim lessons are designed to develop progressive swimming skills with a strong emphasis on safety in a friendly and fun environment. Lessons are offered for all age groups and skill levels.

Swim Lesson Registration
Three ways to register:

  • IN PERSON Visit the Kroc Center on Swim Registration Day so that we can ensure your lessons are just right for you or your child.

    Next Swim Registration Day is
    Saturday, June 29 from 10am-2pm

  • ONLINE: If registering online, please register by participant’s name and be aware that you will need to arrive early on the first day of class and fill out an enrollment form to ensure your selected lessons are just right for you or your child.

float4life Lessons
AGES 1 - 3
 
Member: $40, Non-Member: $50
Float4Life is a water safety program that teaches young children, ages 1-3, how to roll on their backs (like an Otter!) so they can breathe, float and reach the side of the pool until help arrives. Those precious seconds can save a life! All sessions include 8 lessons, each 15 minutes long. These “mini” lessons maximize the short attention span of toddlers while gradually increasing the child’s comfort level in the water. This program is a partnership between the Omaha Kroc Center and the Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation.

Aqua-Joints
Drop-in Activity - no registration required!
10am - Weekdays
Ages 16+
Member: FREE, Not a Member? No Problem. Water Fitness drop-in classes are $5 per person for non-members plus the daily entry fee of $7 for adults. 

This exercise program is designed to accommodate individuals with Arthritis or individuals with special conditions. It is also excellent for people recovering from surgeries or those who are starting an exercise program. This group class encourages self care, provides a social interaction, and improves muscular strength, endurance and flexibility. Our goal is to provide exercise and an education to promote a healthy lifestyle. All participants are encouraged to exercise at their own pace.

Sunrise Splash

Drop-in Activity - no registration required! 
6:15am - Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays
Ages 16+
Member: FREE, Not a Member? No Problem. 
Water Fitness drop-in classes are $5 per person for non-members plus the daily entry fee of $7 for adults.

Start your day off with a splash! This shallow water exercise class will tone your muscles and strengthen your cardiovascular system.

PLEASE NOTE: Swimming suits are required. No street clothes will be allowed in the pool. For safety and/or health reasons, we ask that swimmers follow these Pool Rules.
