Our Sports and Recreation Department provides the Omaha community with an impressive selection of sporting activities. In keeping with the wishes of Joan Kroc, the Kroc Center Sports and Recreation area is a modern facility that has proven to be a multi-functional resource for the entire Omaha community.
gymnasium complex & NEW! INDOOR TURF ARENA
Our large Gymnasium Complex features 2 full-size courts and one Indoor Turf Arena perfect for team practices and available to host a variety of sporting events for school, church or club activities. When the two court areas are utilized, one court can employ bleachers hosting up to 1000 spectators. Simultaneously the other court can be used separated by a curtain divider. An assortment of tournaments and leagues are featured each season within the Gymnasium Complex including basketball, volleyball, soccer, and many other activities.
Kick up your heels in our NEW Indoor Turf Arena! Our new arena opened in April 2013 and was host to 20 soccer teams and 900 spectators its first weekend! Come Join The Fun!
The new indoor turf field is FREE for Kroc Center members and is an additional drop-in fee of $3 added to the basic drop-in fee of $7/adults and $5/youth for non-members. This includes access to public areas of the Kroc Center, such as the pool, game room, computer lab, as well as the indoor turf field.

sports fields complex
The Sports Fields Complex contains one large full-size outdoor turf field and one junior field. These fields may be converted into four to six youth-size fields and used for multiple sports such as soccer, flag football, and other outdoor activities. Additional sports such as softball, baseball and tennis are available in two parks, adjacent to the Kroc Center, through a joint-use agreement between The Salvation Army and the City of Omaha Parks and Recreation Department.
